Do you think I should've help this guy?

There was this really polite, handsome and nice man asking me for help around my college campus while I was leaving yesterday, he said he needed help carrying his books and that he also forgot his car so he asked if I could drive him to his house. I said "No thanks," and ran away. Do you think I should of helped him?
