Atheists: what is the precise definition of "evidence"?

When atheists use the word "evidence," they are referring to empirical evidence, that is, evidence that can be seen, heard, tasted, smelled, or touched and evidence that is verifiable. They are not referring to fuzzy, warm feelings that come over you when you pray to God. Nor are they referring to coincidences like, "I asked God for a job, and he found me one."
