Husband and wives have you ever had a similar experience?

I couldn't agree more. Every semester I try to be around girls and make friends with girls. But, they end up hating me. And, honestly I am really laid back and don't take things serious. I stopped worrying about it and just talk to people who can actually hold a conversation with me.
